Position Function
The Development Specialist will be responsible for coordination and logistics oversight and implementation for a variety of internal and external events and projects that raise funds, awareness and in-kind gifts for ACH Child and Family Services. This person will also play an important role as a member of the Development Team supporting donor stewardship and recognition activities and events and work directly with donors, committee members and the public.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required with similar nonprofit or special event experience.
Experience Requirements:
At least 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit, special event or similar environment is preferred.
Functional Requirements
Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, advanced mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power-Point. Database management using donor-based software experience a plus. Must be highly organized and detail-orientated, demonstrate excellent time-management skills, initiative, and able to multi-task and work independently.
Working Conditions
Heavy computer use and clerical functions in an office environment, attendance at ACH events and public functions, and some work on evenings and weekends required. Lifting files and office supplies required, up to 25 pounds.
Exposure to Confidential Information
Maintain confidentiality and follow policies related to donor and client records.
