What You’ll Do
Donor Portfolio & Stewardship
- Build and manage a personal portfolio of donors and prospects, cultivating relationships that contribute directly to the $200,000 annual fundraising goal.
- Conduct prospect research to identify and qualify new donor opportunities.
- Lead stewardship activities including donor acknowledgments, newsletter updates, and annual report production.
- Assist in developing an engaging stewardship plan for current and prospective donors.
- Maintain accurate donor and prospect records in the CRM.
- Support the Director of Development in executing three annual donor events (one fundraising event and two stewardship events) including logistics coordination, materials preparation, and day-of support.
Campaign Management
- Support the Director of Development on the Colorado Gives Day Campaign and other giving campaigns.
- Track campaign timelines, materials, partner relationships, and internal communications across all campaigns.
Community & External Relations
- Represent Atlas at community meetings, civic group events, networking gatherings, and speaking opportunities.
- Build relationships with local giving groups (Rotary, Kiwanis, Elks, church groups, service associations, etc.) to grow philanthropic awareness and support, feeding prospects into the donor portfolio.
- Pitch Atlas impact stories to local media outlets.
Alumni Engagement & Giving
- Support the development of Atlas's first structured alumni giving program.
- Work with Post-Secondary Success Team to maintain and update alumni contact lists and manage outreach campaigns.
- Coordinate alumni spotlights, giving appeals, and small engagement events.
Storytelling & Communications
- Partner with the community team to tell the Atlas story across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Coordinate storytelling assets and social media content requests in support of campaigns and ongoing development communications.
Compensation & Schedule
- Salaried/Exempt
- Signing Bonus: $1,000
- Annual Range $56,385 - $66,225 (DOE)
- Full Time; Monday - Friday; Occasional evenings and weekends as needed

QualificationsWho You Are

Required Qualifications
- Candidates must meet one of the following combinations of education and experience* in nonprofit fundraising, community engagement, public relations, sales, or a related field:
- - High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience; OR
- - Associate’s degree and at least 4 years of experience; OR
- - Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly social and comfortable representing Atlas in community settings and engaging with partners, volunteers, donors, and families.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events.
*Candidates with significant knowledge of the Atlas mission, community, and organizational culture, combined with demonstrated relationship-building and communication skills, may be considered in lieu of direct fundraising experience.
Desired

Qualifications
- Experience with donor databases or CRM platforms.
- Familiarity with community foundations, civic giving groups, or annual giving campaigns.
- Experience with alumni outreach, volunteer management, events or grassroots fundraising.
- Proficiency in Spanish.
Physical Requirements
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in person, virtually, and through written communication.
- Use standard office technology and equipment, including computers, phones, printers, and virtual meeting platforms.
- Perform work in both office and community settings.
- Occasionally travel locally for meetings, donor visits, networking opportunities, and events.
- Occasionally move and transport event materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Support event setup, coordination, and breakdown activities as needed.
- Work occasional evenings or weekends in support of fundraising campaigns, donor events, and community engagement activities.
