Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Shropshire to assist with the appointment of a Development Officer, on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £22.37 - £28.88 per hour

This role supports the coordination and delivery of the Shropshire Safeguarding Community Partnership (SSCP), ensuring effective multi-agency collaboration across safeguarding adults, children, and community safety. The position plays a key role in driving partnership working, managing projects, and supporting the delivery of strategic safeguarding priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support the work, governance, and activities of the SSCP
  • Provide advice, support, and constructive challenge to multi-agency partners
  • Lead and manage safeguarding and community safety projects and initiatives
  • Coordinate statutory case reviews (e.g. Safeguarding Adult Reviews, Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews, Domestic Homicide Reviews)
  • Analyse performance data, audits, and reports to support service improvement

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Social Care, Public Administration, Criminology, or a related field
  • Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working within safeguarding, community safety, or multi-agency partnerships
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies, and practices
  • Experience managing projects, case reviews, or service improvement initiatives
  • Ability to analyse data and produce clear reports and recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and challenge

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires a Standard DBS
