Waimakariri is one of New Zealand's fastest-growing districts, with significant subdivision and infrastructure development underway.

We're looking for an experienced Development Manager to join our team for a six-month fixed-term assignment. This is an opportunity for a seasoned development engineering leader to step into a well-established team, provide expert guidance, support key work programmes, and help maintain momentum while the organisation works through a period of change and reviews its future land development service delivery arrangements.

You'll bring:

  • Extensive development engineering or land development experience

  • Proven leadership capability

  • Strong understanding of subdivision and infrastructure delivery

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

  • The ability to quickly establish credibility and hit the ground running

Make a difference by:

  • Providing leadership and support to the Development Team

  • Bringing specialist development engineering expertise to complex projects

  • Building strong relationships with developers, consultants and stakeholders

  • Maintaining momentum across a significant programme of development activity

  • Supporting the team through a period of change while continuing to deliver high-quality outcomes
