Help shape Auckland's future through transformational urban development. The Auckland Urban Development Office (AUDO) are passionate about making Tāmaki Makaurau a great place to live and work.
AUDO focuses on delivering urban regeneration projects that shape both the landscape and the communities we serve on behalf of Auckland Council. With a diverse portfolio that includes some of the region's most significant projects across the city centre and waterfront, this is an opportunity to work on developments that will leave a lasting legacy for Auckland.
As a Development Manager, you'll lead complex mixed-use developments from inception through to delivery. Working across a portfolio of projects, you'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing strategies, managing risks and ensuring projects are delivered in line with development plans, business objectives and community outcomes.
A key component of the role is working with development partners to negotiate and manage complex development agreements, ensuring commercial, strategic and community outcomes are achieved.
Success in this role requires the ability to balance commercial outcomes with innovative, future-focused thinking. You'll work closely with a broad range of stakeholders, consultants, contractors and development partners, providing strong leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
This is an opportunity to be part of a team delivering some of Auckland's most significant urban regeneration projects while helping shape the future of our city. You'll work alongside passionate and experienced professionals in a collaborative environment where your contribution will have a visible and lasting impact.
You'll be an experienced development professional with a proven track record delivering complex property development, urban regeneration or mixed-use projects from end-to-end.
We're looking for someone who can confidently manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. You'll be equally comfortable negotiating commercial agreements, presenting to senior stakeholders and working collaboratively with project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
You will bring credibility when dealing with private sector developers and development partners, and be comfortable working across legal, planning, engineering and commercial disciplines to achieve successful outcomes.
