RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the management of an assigned portfolio, consisting of individuals, corporations, foundations and organizations. Facilitates prospects’ and donors’ movement through the traditional fundraising stages of qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. Manages personalized stewardship in the collective team portfolio to ensure donor retention and loyalty.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in related field required. Requires three years of successful fundraising experience, with demonstrated success in annual fund management and personal solicitation. Understanding of different aspects of comprehensive fundraising program. Experience working in healthcare, hospital or academic medical center with boards, physicians, leaders and volunteer committees preferred.
Knowledge of non-profit fundraising best practices and various forms of development solicitation practices, including personal solicitation, direct marketing, employee giving, and third-party fundraising. Proven success with direct donor solicitation and stewardship.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Excellent interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with donors of all levels, volunteers, community leaders, corporate and foundation representatives, physicians and University Health leadership.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; handle multiple projects and effectively manage and set priorities. Strong analytical and planning skills. Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite or similar products, and experience in Virtuous a plus.
