* Drive robust, quality, cost and weight efficient designs that meet program objectives. * Drive component commonality, re-use, and consistency across vehicle lines (including fasteners and Joint designs). * Drive innovation and develops implementation strategies. * Develop & maintain DFMEA's, PFMEA's, DVP&R's, Performance Standards, Process Standards. * Conduct vehicle level system test(s). * Develop, follow and establish best practices. * Develop & maintain corporate expertise on product, process, and tooling design. * Main interface with KBE on critical master sections. * Maintain strategic relationship with other functional areas. * Develop & implement cost reduction strategies. * Develop & implement weight reduction strategies. * DRE Training. Audit headlamp aim process in Assembly Plants. * Launch build support @ Assembly Plants. * Support the SSTMs in technical interfaces with PDO and KBE. * Responsible for all model geometry, on the tree, correct change level properly positioned for all designs. * DMA reviews. * Author of technical specifications (Product Card) (Including source packages). * Balance component reuse with vehicle requirements. * Balance workload between engineers and programs. * Engineer development strategies (skills, knowledge, experience). * Continuous interaction with Suppliers, Assembly Plants, CTC Development Leads, CTC SubDiscipline Managers, SubSystem Technical Managers and SubSystem Technical Leads.
Qualifications
Basic: * 8 years of Experience in an OEM or Tier 1 manufacturer. * Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering Degree (or equivalent). * Product design software, such as NX, CATIA, SolidWorks. * Plastic Engineering Knowledge. * GD&T. * Leadership skills. * Personnel Management skills. * Reactive Green Belt and/or DFSS Green Belt. * English.
Preferred: * Minimum 8 years of Experience. * Lighting and/or Wipers and/or Glazing Engineering Knowledge. * Master Degree. * English: 95%. * Reactive Black Belt and/or DFSS Black Belt.
