Your tasks and responsibilities
You will drive the integration and evolution of Environmental Control Systems (ECS) across the current and future portfolio of combat aircraft.
System Integration: Integrate complex ECS sub-systems and advanced equipment into state-of-the-art military aircraft.
End-to-End Ownership: Take responsibility for ECS work packages - scoping, planning and executing mission-critical development and in-service support.
Advanced Engineering & Simulation: Conquer complex thermodynamic, fluid dynamic and mechanical challenges utilizing cutting-edge simulation tools.
Supplier & Technical Management: Act as the primary technical anchor for system and component suppliers, driving technological alignment.
Innovation Scouting: Continuously monitor the technical landscape to identify breakthroughs and predict technological gaps to keep our systems technologically ahead.
Cross-Functional Liason: Synchronize perfectly with core interfaces, including Airworthiness, Quality, Procurement and Program Management.
Global Collaboration: Forge strong, collaborative alliances with international subcontractors, partners and customers.
Desired skills and qualifications
You are a passionate engineer, ready to work at the intersection of complex thermodynamics and high-performance aerospace engineering.
The Foundation: You hold a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical field.
Industry Savvy: You bring experience in (military) aerospace development, alongside a solid knowledge of qualification and certification processes.
ECS & Thermodynamics Passionate: You possess profound expertise in equipment and system engineering, preferably in Environmental Control Systems, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, operational behavior and thermodynamic cycles.
Natural Communicator: You have good interpersonal skills, bridging connections with internal stakeholders, international suppliers and test facilities.
Linguistic: You are negotiation-level fluent in English and hold an advanced command of German.
Global Mindset: You are self-reliant, highly systematic under pressure and energized by the prospect of worldwide business travels to collaborate with international partners.
