Location: Budapest | R&D / Engineering

We are looking for a Thermal & Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Budapest. In this role, you will contribute to the development of thermal and mechanical solutions for new products, working from early design concepts through validation and product release.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across R&D, Product Management, Manufacturing, and other engineering functions to deliver reliable, high-performing products.

Key Responsibilities

Thermal and Mechanical Design

• Develop thermal and mechanical solutions that meet product performance, reliability, and cost requirements.
• Design, analyze, and validate components, subsystems, and complete product architectures.
• Evaluate and apply new technologies, materials, and engineering approaches to improve product designs.
• Support technical decision-making throughout the development process.

Product Development and Validation

• Perform simulations, calculations, testing, and root-cause analysis to ensure product performance.
• Define technical specifications and contribute to product requirements.
• Verify compliance with relevant industry standards and internal quality requirements.
• Support product qualification and release activities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with product development, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams.
• Provide technical input based on customer needs, market trends, and business requirements.
• Collaborate with global engineering and research communities to share knowledge and best practices.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to innovation activities, including intellectual property creation and patent disclosures.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and design records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and technology roadmap activities.
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues, depending on experience level.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in thermal and/or mechanical design and analysis, preferably within a product development or R&D environment. (at least 10 years)
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to engineering challenges.
• Ability to communicate in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hardware or product development.
• Familiarity with simulation tools such as CFD and FEM.
• Professional engineering certification or equivalent qualification.
