Development Engineer
Develop and manage changes and problem solving for serial production on the seatbelt product. The role includes the engineering activity required for changes including customer design changes, internal product improvements, support of commercial change validation, value engineering and quality / continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate will lead the technical aspects and validation of a design change including drawing updates, document and BOM release, supplier technical discussions, validation plans and reports. The candidate will lead technical teams to support resolution of quality concerns, especially those related to design robustness.
The role includes supporting the customer focus engineering activity as the team implements design, capacity, resource and / or quality driven changes from concept into production launch. The candidate will work closely with internal colleagues, with the business team, customer and Autoliv assembly plants from various disciplines.
• Mechanical Engineering or related
• Advanced English skills
• 2-5 years of experience in the automotive industry in product design or engineering
