Position: Development Director

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Onsite with up to 40% spent out-of-office engaging with people

Schedule:Monday – Friday; occasional but rare evenings and weekends, as the work dictates

Agape cultivates physical, emotional, and cognitive growth for individuals in Central Indiana through unique and therapeutic experiences with horses.

A day in the life of our Development Director:

As our Development Director, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating and deepening relationships with donors and prospects. Your days will be filled with:

• Participating as a member of our leadership
• Collaborating with volunteer leaders to secure resources that fuel our mission
• Utilizing Salesforce to plan and document the organization's activities and progress
• Sending out personalized gift acknowledgements and thank-you notes
• Setting and following up on appointments
• Calling people on the phone to make personal connections
• Leading the success of events
• Participating in our capital campaign
• Meeting with prospects and donors to create long-lasting relationships
• Developing and implementing fundraising strategies, striving to exceed our goals
• Curating stories that communicate our mission and compel people to give
• Asking people to give and getting a"Yes!"
