Development Coordinator

Department: Marketing, Communications, and Development

Concordance’s reentry program is designed to dramatically reduce recidivism by helping individuals with justice involvement lead meaningful, abundant, and joyful lives. Our holistic, evidence-based model offers a wide range of services - therapy, case management, yoga, behavioral health and substance use recovery groups, spiritual care, life skills, medical care, education, and job readiness. Our Care Team formally supports each participant for a full year, ensuring stability and long-term success. Now operating in Missouri, South Carolina, and Virginia, Concordance is a national leader in compassionate, innovative reentry care. As Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting Concordance’s public and private development efforts, including grant writing and management. Working collaboratively with the Marketing, Communications, and Development team, you will play a crucial role in securing public and private funding to advance Concordance’s mission.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE:

  • Researching, identifying, applying for, and managing grants from governments and foundations
  • Supporting the Director of Development and Director of Public Funding with executing upon public and private funding strategies, event planning, and donor stewardship
  • Collaborating with Concordance’s research and quality team to produce grant reporting as needed
  • Maintaining CRM platform with up-to-date donor records

  • Skill in data analysis to assess the effectiveness of public funding efforts and make data-driven decisions
  • Skill in creatively and collaboratively identifying and shaping public funding sources
  • Ability to manage CRM platform to track fundraising success

Required education, licensure, and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in grant writing, government relations, contracting, or public funding

  • Sit, stand, and walk for a considerable amount of time throughout the day.
  • Occasionally, help set up Center events or move classrooms around including but not limited to carrying and setting up tables and chairs
