Job Description

Join our Team

About this opportunity:

As a Developer Thermal, you will join our product development organization and take ownership of the thermal design of electronic products, ensuring robust heat dissipation performance within challenging mechanical constraints.
You will work closely with hardware and mechanical engineers to turn requirements and concepts into reliable, verifiable thermal solutions.

What you will do:

  • Take end-to-end responsibility for thermal design and related verification activities for assigned products or modules.
  • Build and run thermal simulations for defined operating and environmental conditions, using appropriate tools and models.
  • Proactively provide design recommendations and constraints to the hardware and mechanical design teams from a thermal perspective (e.g., materials, structures, airflow, heat sinking).
  • Analyze thermal test and simulation results, identify risks and bottlenecks, and drive corrective actions.
  • Optimize overall heat dissipation capability within strict volume and mechanical constraints, with performance compared against industry-standard solutions as a key success indicator.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in product development to secure robust design, verification, and industrialization.
  • Demonstrate proactive, accountable, result-oriented behavior and use a curious, logical, and analytical mindset to solve complex thermal problems.

The skills you bring:

  • Master’s degree in a technical discipline (such as mechanical engineering, thermal engineering, or related) or equivalent knowledge, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience in thermal design of electronic devices involving metal structures/enclosures.
  • Solid understanding of general mechanical production processes (e.g., machining, casting, stamping, extrusion) and how they impact thermal design options.
  • Strong skills with thermal design and simulation software, such as Flotherm.
  • Familiarity with mainstream simulation tools (e.g., Ansys) and 3D CAD tools such as Pro/E (Creo).
  • Good English reading and writing, with reasonably good spoken English for daily technical communication.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work responsibly and professionally in a cross-functional team.
  • Innovative, proactive, and result-oriented; curious and logical, with strong analytical skills.
  • Broader experience in mechanical design/structural design for electronic products.
