About the positions
We are seeking innovative and skilled Developers to join our Retail Payments Supervision team! We are a collaborative and diverse team within ITS with the mission to carry out the roadmap of an effective regulatory IT platform to meet the requirements of the Bank of Canada’s role in supervising payment service providers (PSPs) We are also beginning work on two new mandates: Stable Coin and Consumer-driven Banking
Lead by the Director of the Retail Payments Supervision portfolio, you will join a dynamic and highly skilled team working together to design, develop, and support our regulatory IT platform built on the Power Platform.
Further, you will have the full support of your leader and teammates to enhance your skills, experiment, and further your career through our customizable Learning & Development programs across various domains (IT, Programming, Architecture, Analytics, etc.) and relevant certifications.
What you will do
As a Developer, you will be responsible for developing new features and maintaining existing components for the Bank’s RPS regulatory IT platform using the Microsoft technology stack, comprised of Power Pages (Portal), Model Driven Apps, Custom PCF controls, SharePoint, Power Automate Flows, Azure services (Function Apps, APIM) and multiple system integrations.

Your education and experience
Your combined education and work experience demonstrate that you have the proficiencies and skills for the role. We are ideally seeking candidates with a relevant degree/diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience for the job grade 15 role and 5+ years of experience for the job grade 16 role.

Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. Although the position language requirement is English or French essential, we do encourage everyone to improve their second language proficiency for future career growth and to contribute towards fostering a bilingual environment.

Hybrid Work Model
The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a portion of each month as part of the Bank’s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
