What You’ll Do
In this role you will:
- Design and build intelligent, autonomous AI systems that enable Teradata to push the boundaries of enterprise-scale agentic technology.
- Lead the development of scalable, secure, cloud-native frameworks that allow AI agents to reason, plan, act, and collaborate in real-world production environments.
- Create the foundational runtime components, automation capabilities, and infrastructure that power next-generation GenAI and Agentic AI solutions.
- Work closely with AI researchers, platform teams, and product leadership to bring advanced agentic capabilities from concept to production across Teradata’s data and AI platform.
- Succeed in this role by enabling enterprise customers to leverage powerful, resilient, and safely governed AI agents that drive measurable business value.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
- Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying autonomous AI agents at scale.
- Expertise in building agent-based architectures and runtime components for next-generation AI/LLM systems.
- Hands-on experience implementing governance, safety, and compliance in agentic AI environments.
- Ability to partner effectively with product leaders, architects, and platform teams to define enterprise-grade AI capabilities.
- Strong technical ability with intelligent automation, generative AI, and agentic system design.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in software architecture, backend development, or AI infrastructure, with strong Python skills and familiarity with Java, Go, and C++.
- Deep expertise in agent development, LLM integration, prompt engineering, runtime systems, and AI tooling.
- Experience with MCP servers, vector databases, RAG systems, graph-based memory, and NLP frameworks.
- Ability to design core agentic capabilities such as memory management, context handling, observability, and identity.
- Strong background in distributed systems, backend services, API design, and cloud-native deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable production infrastructures.
- Excellent communication skills, documentation habits, and ability to mentor or collaborate across teams.
- Passion for building safe, human-aligned, autonomous systems and extending open-source tools to innovate.
Job Description
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to develop and test software modules based on client requirements and prepare project documentation while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality delivery.

Areas of responsibility

Gathering of requirements-Assist in conducting workshops and discussions with client stakeholders to gather business process requirements.
Coding and Configuration-"Develop and deliver code for assigned modules, in alignment with client requirements ensuring proper integration with system components.

Testing and Trial Runs-"Execute testing for assigned modules, validate functionality across required interactions, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions.
Implementation-Participate in implementation of software application and its integration with other systems to ensure stability.
Maintain Documentation-Prepare detailed reports and documentation on project specifications, activities, and status, while presenting information using flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, code comments, and clear, well-structured code.

Stakeholder Collaboration-Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand requirements, support development activities, check system compatibility, and ensure solutions meet expected standards.
