You will be responsible for the design, build and run of the underlying OSS infrastructure and toolchains deployed across cloud and On-Prem that is required to run the Barclays Global Network.
To be successful in this role as a Developer you should possess the following skillsets:
Essential Skills:
Should be highly proficient in the use of AB initio development and standard techniques (On UNIX and Hadoop, Linux).
Strong understanding of Data Structure and Algorithms. Experience in implementing Medium to Big scale data solutions Strong SQL skills in Hive impala and AWS DB technologies such as Athena.
Experience on AWS and cloud platforms
Overall job scheduling knowledge on TWS
Experience in scripting language like DBT, Python, Databricks and Shell scripting etc
Should be able to work in an agile environment with evolving demands and increasing expectations.
Desired Skills:
Credit Risk banking experience
Regulatory experience (IFRS9/ BCBS) with control and compliance implementations
Managing development teams under Cloud and Hadoop technologies
Previous experience within Finance, Treasury and Risk functions
