Job Introduction
The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). With headquarters in Vienna, the company employs more than 2500 people worldwide, with subsidiaries, regional offices and representatives in over 50 countries. In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team currently has 230+ colleagues and is growing.
Between July 6th and August 31th, you will join us for a full-time position as:

• Software Complience Engineer

After the completion of this paid internship, you may get a proposal for a part-time collaboration. This is based on the results obtained during the program and the available positions.
You should expect to take an online technical test, and by the end of May, you should have our offer and make a decision.
We are looking for passionate students willing to solve aeronautical and public safety technical challenges.

Key Tasks

• Prepare and elaborate software assurance reports (including COTS SW assurance, impact analysis, compliance matrices, and gap analysis) to ensure product compliance with safety and quality standards
• Ensure ongoing compliance with international safety standards such as ED-109A / DO-278A, ED-153, ED-215, and ED-217
• Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, plans, and manuals for software projects
• Provide support for software assurance activities during product release cycles
• Write and maintain technical reports and Quality Management System documentation
• Conduct internal audits and support continuous improvement initiatives

Key Qualifications
Skills (MUST):

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Willingness and ability to learn and expand knowledge of international standards and best practices
• Proactive self-learner, comfortable working independently and collaborating within a SW development team environment

Skills (NICE TO HAVE):

• Experience in SW Assurance (Quality, Testing, Documentation activities)
• Strong knowledge of SW development processes (including Agile methodologies, Commercial Off-The Shelf SW Assurance)
• Comprehensive understanding of international standards: ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ED-109A / DO-278A, ED-153, ED-215, and ED-217
