Standard Job Description

Applies stds, processes, procedures & tools throughout the devel life cycle. Applies HW & SW knowledge, cyber security stds in business/mission apps, & feedback from users to develop SW. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles doc of program devel & analyzes syst capabilities to resolve program problems, output/input data acq, programming tech & controls. Ensures SW stds are met. Validates incorp of features & use cases into implemented designs

Basic Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline
• Experience with Systems Administration for Windows or Linux Operating Systems such as Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Must have a DOD 8140 IAT Level II certification or higher (ex: Security + CE)
• At least 4 months of recent GWS experience working in the GNI product
• Experience with various windows and Red Hat scripting using tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
• Knowledge of IAVM’s and addressing software vulnerabilities
• Must have an active Secret clearance

Desired Skills

• Active Linux Certifications (Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE)
• Active Windows Certifications (MCSA, MCSE, etc.)
• Experience with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Docker, GitLab, etc.
• Experience with security compliance and related security scanning products (ACAS, STIGs)
• Experience in enterprise backup and restore solutions, storage area network (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS)
• Experience with network administration and related infrastructure
• Experience with hardware installation and maintenance to include firmware upgrades
• Experience with both Windows and Linux scripting languages
• Experience with Windows Patching/WSUS application

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
