We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Team Leader to own and drive our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and operational excellence across multiple regulated medical and non-medical products. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership, focusing on building secure, scalable, and compliant environments (primarily on AWS), while continuously improving automation, reliability, and development workflows. The ideal candidate will lead DevOps initiatives end-to-end, lead cyber audit readiness and cybersecurity requirements to ensure high-quality, efficient software delivery.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines to enable secure, reliable, and scalable software delivery.
  • Own and evolve cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS, with some GCP), ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with medical and data regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), including leading audits and maintaining required documentation.
  • Define and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices (e.g., Terraform) for consistent and reproducible environments.
  • Oversee cloud security posture, including identity management, network security, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Lead monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies to ensure system reliability and proactive issue resolution.
  • Improve disaster recovery (DR) and backup strategies to ensure business continuity and data protection.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, QA, Security, and Global IT teams on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Drive automation across infrastructure, deployments, and operational processes.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow the DevOps team, setting best practices and technical direction
  • Architect and manage Kubernetes and Fargate based environments.
  • Design secure cloud architectures aligned with regulated medical environments.
  • Lead internal and external audits (cybersecurity, compliance) and ensure readiness at all times.
  • Implement and maintain observability platforms (monitoring, logging, tracing).
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Define DevOps standards, workflows, and governance across multiple products (SaaS and on-prem).
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex production and infrastructure issues.


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant certifications – advantage:
    AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer
    Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP) – strong advantage
  • 8+ years of hands-on DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure experience, including at least 2 years in as team lead role.
  • Deep expertise in AWS at least 5 years.
  • Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Proven experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Strong background in cloud security and compliance within regulated environments.
  • Experience preparing for and leading audits and creating relevant docs. i.e. HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
  • Experience with GCP – advantage
  • Experience working in multi-product environments (SaaS + on-prem) – advantage.
  • Experience in scripting like Python and Bash - advantage

  • Ability to balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities.
