Introduction

TT Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Despatch Operator to join our Despatch team at our Abercynon site. Reporting to the Despatch Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately, safely and on time.

We are looking for a reliable, motivated individual with excellent attention to detail, strong time management skills and a commitment to working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack and scan customer orders accurately in accordance with despatch packing lists and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure all products are prepared and dispatched accurately to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Complete all documentation and filing accurately and maintain despatch records.
  • Work safely at all times, following company Health & Safety procedures, including manual handling practices and safe working instructions.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring work areas remain clean, organised and free from hazards.
  • Handle and lift products safely, including heavier items, using the manual handling training provided.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team objectives while also being able to work independently to meet daily deadlines and priorities.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management to ensure customer orders are completed and dispatched on schedule.
  • Support continuous improvement and maintain the high standards of quality and accuracy expected within TT Electronics.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Skills, Experience and Attributes

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, despatch or stores environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • A positive team player with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and quality.
  • Basic computer skills; full training will be provided on the company portal and despatch systems.
  • Willingness to train and operate a company forklift (training provided).
  • Ability to obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.

Flexibility

This role requires flexibility to support business requirements. You may be required to work in other departments, subject to operational needs, following appropriate training.

You will also be expected to adopt a flexible approach to working hours and be willing to work additional hours, including overtime where required, to support business demands.

Hours of Work

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm

Friday: 7:30am – 12:15pm

Our Recruitment Process

Formal Interviews will be held on site and include a tour of the facility.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake and pass pre and during employment drug and alcohol testing.
