DESCRIPTION

Our manufacturing and production client is seeking a permanent, hands-on DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN to support End-Users across the organization. The position will be part of the Service Desk team, but will be heavily focused on desktop support, device deployment, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. There will be occasional overflow of inbound help desk calls, however the DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN will work to diagnose technical issues, build and deploy PCs, and serve as a key resource for hardware and connectivity support.

DUTIES

• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, hardware, and peripheral issues.
• Build, configure, deploy, and support Windows-based PCs and workstations.
• Provide break/fix support for end-user computing devices.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues, including network and wireless access problems.
• Support printers, monitors, docking stations, and other endpoint technologies.
• Respond to Service Desk tickets and provide exceptional customer support.
• Escalate complex issues when required while maintaining ownership of incidents.
• Assist with workstation moves, installations, and equipment upgrades.
• Document issues, resolutions, and support activities within ticketing systems.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Network, and Security teams as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in desktop support, help desk, or service desk environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience building and deploying PCs and workstations.
• Hardware support and break/fix experience.
• Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft technologies.
• Knowledge of connectivity troubleshooting, including network and wireless issues.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
