Overview

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support for end users in a dynamic enterprise environment. This role is responsible for hardware deployments, workstation refreshes, equipment moves, installations, and day-to-day technical support activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience working in high-volume support environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and end-user technology.
  • Perform hardware deployments, system installations, equipment refreshes, and moves, adds, and changes (MACs).
  • Configure, install, and replace workstations, monitors, docking stations, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues in a timely manner.
  • Support Microsoft Office Suite applications and assist users with productivity-related issues.
  • Manage and prioritize support requests in a fast-paced, high-volume ticketing environment.
  • Document incidents, requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticket management system.
  • Coordinate workstation setups, office relocations, and technology moves for end users.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate support teams when necessary.
  • Maintain asset inventory and assist with lifecycle management of end-user devices.
  • Support evening and weekend work as required to accommodate deployments, upgrades, and business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting desktop hardware, software, and end-user technologies in a corporate environment.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware deployments, equipment refreshes, installations, and MAC (Moves, Adds, Changes) activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including troubleshooting user issues.
  • Experience working in a high-volume service desk or desktop support environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a professional and dependable work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Windows desktop operating systems in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management practices.
  • Experience with asset management and hardware inventory tracking.
  • Relevant technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
