Job Description
This on-site role provides dedicated technology consultation, desktop support, and network support to a financial services network office, ensuring maximum value from technology investments. You build trusted relationships with end users and leadership, act as a technical advisor, and drive adoption of sales-focused software and tools. By combining advanced troubleshooting skills with strong consulting and training capabilities, you help financial advisors and their teams integrate technology into their business processes, improve productivity, and enhance the client experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated technology consultation and expertise to the network office to ensure maximum value from the organizations technology investments.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with end users, financial advisors, advisor teams, and network office leadership to understand their business objectives and support needs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to field leaders and end users by championing their goals and aligning technology solutions with operational and strategic priorities.
- Prioritize engagements with office leadership and stakeholder groups using sound judgment and decision-making to focus on the most impactful initiatives.
- Ensure optimal configuration of desktop, network, and software technologies to support business operations and improve the user experience.
- Assist advisors and teams in effectively using technology tools, demonstrating how they enhance client-advisor interactions, productivity, and sales practices.
- Develop a thorough understanding of insurance and investment sales cycles to identify how technology can be integrated into key business processes.
- Apply consulting strategies to clearly communicate technology benefits, ensuring that diverse audiences understand how to use tools and systems effectively.
- Provide advanced project consultation and subject matter expertise to enterprise partners on technology needs, remodels, new office buildouts, and upgrades.
- Manage escalations related to enterprise technology implementations and upgrades, including coordination, communication, and feedback to local and corporate leadership.
- Support the identification of inefficiencies in advisor practices and recommend simple technology applications to improve workflows and outcomes.
- Participate in planning sessions with leadership and teams to support goal achievement and learn strategic methods to increase productivity and client satisfaction.
- Assist in delivering training on technology best practices, including facilitating classes under supervision to promote effective tool usage and adoption.
- Help prepare users for new technology deployments by assisting with training, communication of benefits, and transition support.
- Handle vendor management for third-party technology solution providers and implementations to ensure effective collaboration and seamless integration.
- Track engagement activities, document support interactions, and attend training sessions to expand knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain a high level of proficiency and expertise in complex computer hardware, software, and network technologies through ongoing education, advanced training, and self-study.
- Provide Level 2 desktop support, including expert troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues in a corporate field office environment.
- Support and troubleshoot Windows 10 desktops, imaging processes, and Office 365 applications to maintain stable and efficient user environments.
- Perform hardware break-fix activities, diagnose device issues, and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
- Provide infrastructure and network support, including router and Cisco switch support and network troubleshooting for local office environments.
- Support and administer Active Directory-related tasks, including user access, permissions, and authentication-related troubleshooting.
- Deliver on-site training and guidance to end users on IT best practices, security, and effective use of desktop and network technologies.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of computers, mobile devices, hardware, software configurations, operating systems, and LAN environments to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Use software support tools to diagnose and resolve complex technology problems and improve system reliability.
- Collect feedback from advisors and teams and relay insights to home office leadership to help ensure technology solutions meet user needs and drive adoption.
- Drive measurable improvements in technology usage and business outcomes, such as increased adoption of tools, improved sales processes, and enhanced client satisfaction.
Essential Skills
- Bachelors degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience, including consultation experience working with professionals in financial services or a similar industry.
- Experience coaching and training professionals on technology and best practices.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant technology support experience.
- Advanced knowledge of computer and mobile device hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using software support tools to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Strong desktop support skills, including Level 2 troubleshooting in a corporate field office environment.
- Hands-on experience with Windows 10 desktop support, imaging, and configuration.
- Experience with hardware break-fix, including diagnosing and repairing or coordinating repairs for devices.
- Active Directory support experience, including user access and permissions troubleshooting.
- Infrastructure and network support experience, including router and Cisco switch support.
- Network troubleshooting skills in LAN and local office environments.
- Experience supporting Office 365 applications and related productivity tools.
- Ability to understand sales-focused software technology and clearly articulate its benefits and uses to select audiences.
- Proven ability to consult and drive measurable improvements in an outcome-based model, such as increased adoption or sales performance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate groups of people in training, workshops, or planning sessions.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, practical terms.
- Ability to manage escalations and project-related activities for technology implementations and upgrades.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple engagements and tasks independently.
Additional Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or equivalent significant experience.
- Minimum of three years experience in coaching and training individuals on how to optimize their business through the use of technology is highly desirable.
- Minimum of three years of coaching and training experience preferred.
- Minimum of five years of financial services industry experience preferred.
- Technology support experience in a corporate field office environment preferred.
- Experience providing corporate field office IT support, including end-user training on IT best practices and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated ability to understand software technology focused on sales practice and to tailor messaging for different audiences.
- Experience providing advanced project consultation and subject matter expertise for technology remodels, new office buildouts, and upgrades.
- Experience managing third-party technology vendors and coordinating solution implementations.
- Background in integrating technology into insurance and investment sales cycles is beneficial.
- Commitment to continuous learning, including advanced training and self-study to stay current with evolving hardware, software, and network technologies.
Work Environment
This is an on-site role based in Honolulu, Hawaii, within a United States corporate field office. You work in a business casual to professional environment, collaborating closely with financial advisors, their teams, and office leadership. The work involves hands-on use of desktop and network technologies, including Windows 10, Office 365, imaging tools, routers, Cisco switches, LAN environments, and various sales-focused software applications. You provide Level 2 desktop support and network troubleshooting directly at the office, participate in planning and training sessions, and engage with enterprise partners and vendors on technology projects, remodels, and new office buildouts. The setting is structured yet collaborative, with regular interaction, training, and feedback loops that support both user success and your ongoing professional development.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $37.00/hr.
