About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support, ensuring seamless IT operations, and enhancing end-user experience across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, laptops, and peripherals
Diagnose and resolve technical problems both remotely and on-site
Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups
Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, configurations, and solutions
Develop and update knowledge base articles for common issues
Deliver user training and guidance on IT systems and applications
Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to resolve complex issues
Manage system security settings to protect against cyber threats
Required Skills & Experience
4–6 years of experience in Desktop Support / Infrastructure Services
Strong knowledge of desktop management and IT support environments
Experience with Windows OS, hardware troubleshooting, and networking basics
Familiarity with ticketing tools and IT service management processes
Good understanding of security best practices
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in enterprise IT environments
Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and remote support tools
IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus
