Role Title: Desktop Support Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding

  • Prepare and configure new hire IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Create and manage user accounts in Active Directory, Microsoft 365 / Entra ID, and other company systems based on role and department.
  • Coordinate with HR and hiring managers to ensure all onboarding tickets are logged and tracked in ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus Cloud.
  • Assign appropriate security groups, licenses, and permissions in Microsoft 365.
  • Join all devices to the domain and enroll them in Intune or the company’s device management platform.
  • Provide first-day technical assistance for new hires, ensuring seamless setup of systems and applications.

Offboarding

  • Process employee terminations through ServiceDesk Plus Cloud tickets to ensure proper workflow and documentation.
  • Disable or remove user access in Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise systems per company policy.
  • Wipe and reimage devices securely using ManageEngine OS Deployer in compliance with data security and HIPAA standards.
  • Recover, inventory, and reassign IT assets, ensuring updates to the asset management database.
  • Archive or transfer user data as requested by management or compliance teams.

Imaging and Deployment

  • Create, manage, and update standard workstation images using ManageEngine OS Deployer.
  • Deploy systems with standardized software packages, configurations, and security updates.
  • Maintain image versions for different departments or roles as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve imaging or deployment failures in OS Deployer.
  • Ensure deployed systems comply with company configuration standards and security baselines.
  • Maintain documentation of imaging procedures and deployment logs.

Additional Duties

  • Use ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus Cloud to manage, update, and close IT support and lifecycle management tickets.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, including serial numbers, users, and deployment details.
  • Assist with software installations, network connectivity, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Follow all IT security and compliance protocols, including HIPAA, password policies, and data retention standards.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to continuously improve onboarding/offboarding workflows and automation opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, onboarding/offboarding, or system administration.
  • Hands-on experience with ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus Cloud and ManageEngine OS Deployer.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Entra ID, and Intune.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11 deployment, imaging, and troubleshooting.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data responsibly.
  • Clear communication and strong collaboration with HR, Security, and IT teams.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple onboarding/offboarding tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune Autopilot or other MDM solutions.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for account management automation.
  • Understanding of network fundamentals, Group Policy, and Windows security baselines.
  • Prior experience in a HIPAA-compliant or regulated industry.
