First & Second Line Support | Hands-On | Ownership-Driven Are you the person people call when tech stops working? We’re looking for a Desktop Engineer who doesn’t just log tickets — they own them. Someone who can diagnose, fix and follow through, whether it’s a straightforward user issue or a more complex system problem. If you like solving problems, working with people and taking ownership, this role is for you. What you’ll do Provide first and second line technical support to end users Analyse, diagnose and resolve system and application issues Respond to requests via phone, email and the service desk Log, track and escalate calls through to resolution Set up and configure IT equipment to standard Manage asset tracking and work with the IT Asset team Document processes, procedures and resolutions Support software and hardware inventory and licence tracking Work after hours, weekends and standby when required Requirements What we’re looking for Grade 12 (Matric) A+, N+ and/or MCTS/MCITP (or equivalent) 2–3 years IT support experience Ability to take ownership and see problems through Strong attention to detail and clear decision-making Good interpersonal skills and empathy Comfortable working in a fast-paced, structured environment This role is ideal if you Enjoy hands-on technical work Prefer solving problems over just logging them Take pride in getting things done right the first time Can work independently and still be a strong team player No management responsibility.
