Duration: Approximately 2 Months

Work Schedule: 35 Hours per Week

Pay Rate: $30 per Hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Engineer – Level 2 to provide desktop support, workstation deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Windows-based environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and modern device management tools.

The candidate will be responsible for deploying and maintaining desktop equipment, resolving technical issues, managing device configurations, and maintaining IT documentation in accordance with established security policies and configuration standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, maintain, and support desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install and configure operating systems, business applications, device drivers, and software updates.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network connectivity, and end-user technical issues.
• Perform workstation imaging, device provisioning, system reconfiguration, and equipment deployment.
• Provide technical support for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory environments.
• Manage device enrollment, configuration, and deployment using tools such as Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support to end users, ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and equipment inventory accurately.
• Follow IT security policies, access controls, device configuration standards, and established procedures.
• Review, maintain, and update official IT documentation related to security policies and procedures.
• Ensure desktop systems and devices comply with organizational IT standards and security requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in desktop support, desktop engineering, or end-user computing support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows operating systems, hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with desktop imaging, workstation deployment, and device provisioning.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot for device enrollment and configuration.
• Strong incident documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide effective onsite technical support.

Work Environment

This is an onsite assignment in New York, NY, expected to last approximately two months. The selected candidate will provide Level 2 desktop engineering and end-user support for 35 hours per week.
