Desk Estimator

The Desk Estimator is responsible for preparing estimates and supplementals for reconstruction and emergency services from 3D scans and Project Director Scopes.

The Desk Estimator’s primary responsibilities are to create estimates using estimating software, for reconstruction and emergency services from 3D scans and Project Director scopes. Collaborate with clients to gain estimate and invoice approval.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Meet all service standards set forth by the client or the company.
  • Estimate each loss using a 3rd party estimating software, Xactimate or Symbility (as required). Train on these estimating tools as needed.
  • Utilize PDO QA for peer review
  • Ensure each project achieves a minimum gross profit margin as determined by company standards.
  • Complete estimates within 24 hours of assignment
  • Communicate and document any change orders and insurance supplements.

Competency – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of technology (iPhone, iPad, computer)
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems: RMS, Xactimate, Symbility, MICA and additional systems as requested
  • Ability to create documents
  • Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face
  • Ability to work independently and / or with a team
  • Ability to participate in an on-call schedule
  • Ability to work within hazardous environments safely
  • Maintain a level of confidentiality

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience with Xactimate and/or Symbility required
  • Experience with both Mitigation and Reconstruction (Repair) estimating
  • Estimating industry experience
  • Customer Service

Physical Requirement

  • Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to face
  • Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 80% of the time
  • Constantly operates a computer

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
