This is an exciting opportunity to shape one of the largest and most important categories within Menswear. We are seeking an experienced Designer - Menswear Sleepwear & Innerwear who combines strong creative vision with commercial acumen to deliver customer-focused product that drives growth, innovation and category success.

Make Your Mark in Menswear Design

We have a great opportunity for a talented Menswear Design Specialist to join our Menswear team and play a pivotal role in the future direction of our Sleepwear and Innerwear categories.

Reporting to the Design Manager, you will lead the design vision across these key categories, creating commercially relevant, trend-led product that resonates with our customers. You will translate customer insights, emerging trends and market opportunities into compelling ranges that strengthen our category proposition and support long-term business growth.

A key focus of this role will be driving the design direction of our licensed product portfolio. You will identify and develop opportunities through both Direct-to-Retail (DTR) partnerships and external licensors, ensuring we continue to deliver differentiated, relevant and commercially successful licensed ranges.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Design Manager, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate the product vision, trend direction and design strategy across Menswear Sleepwear and Innerwear.
  • Identify, interpret and apply global and local trend insights to create commercially successful product ranges.
  • Translate customer needs, market opportunities and trend intelligence into innovative and relevant product solutions.
  • Develop and communicate seasonal design direction clearly and effectively to key stakeholders.
  • Drive the licensed product strategy through collaboration with DTR partners and external licensors.
  • Partner closely with Merchandise and Product Development teams to deliver customer-focused, coordinated and commercially viable ranges.
  • Manage the end-to-end design process from concept through to execution.
  • Coach, mentor and influence team members to achieve outstanding design outcomes.
  • Continuously improve design and trend forecasting processes to enhance category performance.
  • Support the delivery of the long-term growth strategy across the Sleepwear and Innerwear business.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a passionate, collaborative and commercially minded Menswear Designer who loves being hands-on in the design process and has a strong understanding of the retail landscape.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Proven experience in Menswear Design, ideally within Sleepwear, Innerwear or Apparel categories.
  • Strong trend forecasting capabilities with the ability to translate trends into commercial product.
  • Experience designing for a broad customer base with a clear understanding of value retail.
  • Demonstrated ability to create product that balances commercial performance with strong design aesthetics.
  • High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong technical design skills, including the creation of accurate technical specification drawings.
  • Excellent organisation, planning and time management skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Merchandise, Product Development and Buying teams.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
  • Experience in licensed product design and development will be highly regarded.
  • An understanding of graphic design principles, with experience developing and/or briefing graphic prints, yardage placement artworks and licensed graphics for apparel categories.
