Your Role
As a Designerwith Gensler’s teamin Washington DC, yourroleis to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce purposeful,functionaland beautiful spaces for our clients. You haveanexceptional designsensibility, a background ininteriorarchitecture and interiordesign, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts. What You Will Do

Supportinterior design assignments that include interpreting client’s needs, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, designdevelopmentand construction documentation
Participate in theselectionand presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
Generate design with 3D models, Revit, Sketchup or other software, create digital 3D view to communicate design concepts
Generateinterior finishes and reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts
Support coordination withexternal consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degreein Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecturefrom an accreditedprogram
0-3years ofrelevantexperience within a commercial design firm
0-3years of experience designing and delivering projects is preferredrequired
Strong communication, presentation, and relationshipbuildingskills
Proficiencyin Revit
Passion for design excellence and continuous learning
LEED accreditation or WELL AP is preferred
Demonstrated commitment to resilienceandsustainable building practices
This role is not remote, we look forward to working with our new Designer team member in our Washington, D.C. , or our Pittsburgh office.
*The estimated base salary range for this position in the Washington, D.C. is $65,000- $75,000, plus eligibility for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation is contingent on location and relevant skills, qualifications and experience.
