As an Electronics Designer at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will optimize production processes, implement new technologies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You'll work with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient manufacture of high-quality products while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully by enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer through innovative manufacturing solutions.
You will contribute to process improvement projects, provide technical expertise for new product introductions, develop and validate manufacturing processes, and implement automation solutions. Working with R&D, Quality, Production, and other departments, you'll optimize existing processes while ensuring consistent product quality and regulatory compliance. Your analytical skills and engineering expertise will help drive cost reductions, improve efficiencies, and enhance manufacturing capabilities across our operations.
Keys to Success:
• University degree (Master's preferred) in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of working experience as an electronic design engineer.
• Demonstrates proficiency in designing of analog, digital and mixed signal electronics and in designing of switched mode power supplies, experience with microcontrollers and FPGAs electronic design would be an advantage.
• Proficient in some electronics design tool, both schematics and PCB layout (at least basic knowledge required for layout).
• Experience with hands-on work on electronics including measuring equipment.
• Possesses an understanding of embedded software development, knowledge of C/C++ and/or VHDL would be an advantage.
• Be familiar with regulatory requirements and certification for electronic devices.
• Ability to take part in technical discussions and ability to solve technical issues.
• Curious, reliable, independent, and collaborative working style.
• Able to communicate sophisticated technical concepts to a wide variety of audiences
• Able to prioritize complex engineering tasks.
• Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
• Proficient in English and Czech/Slovak, both spoken and written.
