Job Description

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and business relationships.

1. Manage, prioritize, and complete assigned projects and revisions at a high level.

a. High level of customer service and communication with internal and external customers either by phone, e-mail, or virtual meeting to meet sales needs.
b. Organize and backup computer files for all assigned projects and special requests.

2. Complete Photo Imaging projects, provide revisions of color placement and/or colors to existing projects as directed by customers.
a. Execute projects at a high level of color application and throughput.
b. Provide accurate representations of SW colors and promote techniques to enhance color consistency and image quality including altering ambient color and lighting as well as photo cropping and cleanup.
c. Download photographs, elevation drawings, etc. Manipulate images, adjust dimensions, and otherwise refine to provide color tools, which differentiate Sherwin-Williams in the marketplace by providing a high-quality service.
d. Ability to spec and apply commercial color knowledge to projects.
e. Assist manager with overseeing outside resources and services.

3. Complete Production Projects for both custom and Ready-To-Go projects.
a. Manage coordination and duplication of projects at a high throughput.
b. Ability to create custom layouts/templates as needed.
c. Process and approve pricing quotations for Independent Contractors.
d. Coordinate/work with manager for color palette development when applicable.
e. Download photographs, logos, etc. Manipulate and enhance assets and apply to approved templates and layouts to provide color tools, which differentiate Sherwin-Williams in the marketplace by providing a high-quality service.
f. Work with Marketing Communications, Product Info, and Legal for updated product descriptions, color information, disclaimers, translations, logo usage, branding standards, etc.
g. Proofread copy on all printed color projects.
h. Ability to prepare/assemble projects at a high level of craftsmanship.

4. Contribution to Special Projects.
a. Ability to assist with artwork, graphics, and market applicable information.
b. Understand color trends for commercial markets and apply appropriate colors per geographic location, historical, or type of market.

5. Promote the CM&D Services.
a. Ability to professional present and promote CMD when requested.
b. Build and maintain relationships with outside vendors.

6. All other duties assigned.

7. Travel to meet business needs may be required.

Required:

  • BFA Design or related field
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Microsoft Office
  • All relevant applications/software
  • Displays high level of craftsmanship for cut-and-paste applications
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to PhotoShop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Ability to interface with Microsoft programs including but not limited to Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Accuracy in selecting and applying color.
  • Accuracy in proofreading.
  • Time Management.
  • Team Skills.
  • Communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Must be able to work effectively with time sensitive and demanding projects and take direction from multiple sources while delivering high quality, creative materials.
  • Requires high level of technical competence and ability to execute creative solutions provided by Senior Designers and/or Director.
  • Must be able to adapt to new technology to further enhance and improve creative material and individual skill level.

Preferred:

  • BFA Graphic Design, Interior Design
  • Preferred: 2-5 years of design or marketing experience
  • Knowledge of Sherwin Color system
  • Color vision test.
