Function

In this role, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing documentation and drawings following Engineering projects and updating HV (High Voltage) as-built drawings in accordance with applicable standards and procedures to ensure the quality of available documentation.
  • Updating HV as-built drawings upon receipt of redlining documentation or following work completed by field technicians.
  • Performing quality control checks on HV drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to guarantee the quality and coherence of as-built documentation.
  • Participating in project handover and knowledge transfer meetings (at Elia Monnoyer and/or at high-voltage substations).
  • Monitoring project schedules and ensuring adherence to planning deadlines.
  • Applying and maintaining HV drafting methodologies in alignment with other technical disciplines.
  • Following applicable processes and procedures (ProjectWise, etc.).
  • Managing the archiving and administrative maintenance of drawings and metadata within the ProjectWise drawing database.

Your Profile

  • You have at least three years of experience as a drafter/designer.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree, or a secondary education diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics, or you have acquired equivalent knowledge through relevant experience.
  • You are proficient in MicroStation. Knowledge of Substation software and 3D drafting/design is considered an asset.
  • You have a good command of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Your strengths include teamwork, flexibility, a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • You demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a pragmatic approach.
  • Knowledge of HV as-built processes, ProjectWise, and technical knowledge of the Elia network are considered assets.
  • You are a French speaker with a good knowledge of Dutch, or you are willing to learn Dutch.
  • You are willing to travel to Elia high-voltage substations throughout Belgium.
