Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Warehouse Systems is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Designer II. The responsibilities for this role include, and are not limited to, generating, and designing fabrication drawings, permit drawings, and installation drawings for customers as needed. The Designer II position will need to understand how to read engineering calculations to help design systems, basic math to calculate system weights, and have an understanding of blueprint standards. This role will work and communicate with customers, sales, engineering, and project managers to support client projects. The Designer II position will also need to understand fabrication drawings, customer approval drawings, and generating a bill of materials for an RFP. This role is an opportunity for an experienced designer to gain career growth. Other duties as assigned.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years’ experience in the Racking/ Supply Chain industry
  • Experience using Design Software’s (AutoCAD and Inventor) or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, design, or comparable experience
  • Prior experience leading a team
