Mission Statement: Create and modify turbocharger products / parts during their entire lifecycle. This includes standard specifications for castings and components as well as manufacturing or construction for assignments classified as low to compex by applying standard design concept. Hereby the products / parts must be designed and manufactured for highly cost-competitive localized production, u.a. in Asia at Accelleron`s and external Licensee production sites.

Responsibilities

1) Assists in designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specification up to member of turbocharger developing projects.

2) Participates in design reviews, design verification and modifies design as necessary.

3) Ensure highly consistent material and documentation consistency and correctness of data during the lifecycle, meaning that design modifications, product extensions and material substitutions are conducted considering the global view, including constructive and operative master data, technical documentation, licensee-, customer and service information.

4) “Design to cost” inputs over the entire part-/product life-cycle.

5) Implementation of DCR`s.

6) Technical training “internal & external.”

7) May work under direct supervision or independently, generally delivering on predefined tasks.

8) Follows work plans and cost estimates for one’s own area of responsibility and ensures quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost.

9) Support risk assessments and implements resulting actions for one’s projects.

10) Supports in preparation of specific aspects of design assignments for project meetings.

11) Collaborates with supply chain- and product engineer function in preparation of required documentation for RFQ`s modification proposals and Design Change Requests (DCR).

12) Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility.

13) Follow the global design process


Your background:

  • Master`s degree in mechanical engineering, or thermal power engineering, or marine engineering.
  • Experience in product design, or engineering, or R&D.
  • Experience in manufacturing and in sourcing.
  • Advanced level of understanding for CAD, CATIA V5 preferred.
  • ERP knowledge, SAP/R3 preferred.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Planner, etc…).
  • Experience in cross divisional cooperation.
  • Cultural awareness.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Fluent Chinese and English in written and spoken.
