Functions as a technology leader, department manager or administrative leader, in a role that implements design technology within the engineering strategy. May have influence in developing strategy. Responsible for execution of assigned projects.
• Setup of drawing extraction templates
• Configure and maintain AVEVA E3D software environments, including databases, catalogs, specifications, and settings.
• Create and maintain piping, structural, and equipment catalogs and specifications.
• Create and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.
• Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with AVEVA support as needed.
• Manage project and design databases to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Set up new projects, including grid systems, hierarchy structures, and naming conventions.
• Provide support to designers, engineers, and project teams during model creation and review processes.
• Troubleshoot user issues and ensure smooth operation of AVEVA E3D.
• Develop custom PML scripts to automate repetitive tasks and enhance the efficiency of design workflows in AVEVA E3D.
• Create macros for specific project needs, such as automating model updates, generating deliverables, or simplifying user interfaces.
• Automate data validation checks, reporting processes, and compliance verification with PML scripts.
• Design and develop drawing templates for all extracted drawing types, including but not limed to: general arrangements, isometrics, piping layouts, and equipment layouts.
• Customize templates to reflect client requirements, project standards, and corporate branding guidelines.
• Knowledgeable of E&I Equipment Catalogs (elconn) / Supports / Cable Tray / Cable Tray Supports / MTO / Grounding / Lighting / Lightning Protection / Nozzles / Floor Penetrations / Handrailing / Hazardous Area Classification / Instrumentation / Piping / Pipe Supports / Catalog Development / Weight Control Reports / Steel Joints / Steel Profiles / PML / MDS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or sciences preferred or any other degree, specialized training, or experience, that makes the individual uniquely qualified to perform the job responsibilities
• More than 20+ years of working experience with Aveva E3D
• Advanced level knowledge on PML programming
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with team members and clients
• Results-driven with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
