Job Description

In Hungary, KOSTAL is about to build its first business service centre to provide business support in IT, finance, procurement, master data, sales and HR fields. This will be a global centre with high value-added and complex processes.

Specialist will be responsible for requesting, reviewing, and evaluating PPAP documentation from suppliers to ensure its availability, accuracy, and compliance with internal and customer-specific requirements. This role serves as a key interface between suppliers and internal departments—such as Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, R&D, and IMDS—to support proper PPAP assessment and to manage the accurate upload and maintenance of quality documentation within corporate database systems.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Request PPAP documentation from suppliers in line with customer and internal requirements.
  • Review and evaluate submitted PPAP packages for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Verify PPAP elements such as PSW, control plan, PFMEA, process flow, dimensional results, material certificates, capability studies, MSA, and other required documents.
  • Identify missing, incorrect, or non-compliant documents and follow up with suppliers for correction and resubmission.
  • Approve or reject PPAP submissions based on documented evaluation results.
  • Upload and maintain PPAP documentation and evaluation results in the internal database (CDB).
  • Ensure proper document traceability, version control, and record retention within the PPAP database.
  • Communicate PPAP-related issues to suppliers and colleagues.
  • Support changes requiring updated PPAP submissions and ensure records are updated accordingly.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Act as a consultant to Supplier Owners, Strategic Buyers, and Commodity Managers to assess the availability and relevance of PPAP documentation.
  • Collaborate with specialized internal teams (the R&D and IMDS team) for the proper PPAP evaluation and the complete entry of quality documents into the database.

Database Administration:

  • Maintain, monitor, and grant final approval for the submitted PPAPs in the central database to ensure real-time data accuracy for the organization.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Higher education in a technical field such as Electronics or Physics; a Bachelor’s degree is required, while a Specialist or Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Upper Intermediate level of English or higher
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the field;
  • 1 + year experience in Multinational environment and Automotive Sector preferred;
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook), and experience in working with different ІТ/CRM systems.
  • Experience with SAP, SAP analytic cloud and CDB preferably
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage professional communication within a complex corporate structure
