Design Quality Control Engineer

Assist the Professional Services Quality Control Manager (PSQCM) with duties to cause the methods and procedures contained in the approved Professional Services Quality Management Plan to be implemented and followed by the Design staff in the performance of thework and any other required professional services QC tasks at the project level.

Job Duties

  • Assistinestablishing, implementing, andmaintainingquality control procedures and quality review standards

  • Assistin updating the Professional Services QualitymanagementPlan (PSQMP) as needed or as required by the contract.

  • Assistin providing training and workshops to all personnel involved in or affected by the PSQMP.

  • Assistin overseeing the implementation of the PSQMP.

  • Assistin ensuring that the methods and procedures contained in the approved PSQMP are implemented and followed in the performance of the Work

  • Assistin ensuring accuracy, completion, and quality insubmittals to TxDOT and Governmental Entities.

  • Assistin certifying that thedesignSubmittal packages, and design changes meet the requirements of the PSQMP and Contract Documents.

  • Assistin providing TxDOT and the Professional Services Quality Assurance Firm (PSQAF) quality records documenting the QC review of the 3-D design model of the Submittals.

  • Assistin the coordination with the Project TechnicalOfficemanagement of drawings and any revisions.

  • Assistin the process of incorporatingall changes made through the RFI process in the Record Drawings.

  • Assistin coordinating with TxDOT and the PSQAFregardingProfessional Services Quality Control.

  • Assistin the coordination works with the Professional Services Quality Assurance Firm (PSQAF)

  • Assistinmonitoringthe Quality Control of the project according to the Quality Management Plan.

  • Assistin performingaudits.

  • Assistin completing the Quality Management System Review Report.

  • Assistin preparing required quality-related reports.

  • Work in a multidisciplinary environment, actively communicating with the rest of the Ferrovial Construction-Webber 99 personnel involved in the design and construction works, toidentifyneeds and evaluate process improvements

  • Any other reasonable requestdeemednecessary by management

Job Requirements:

  • RequiredBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Science or equivalent

  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required at hire or to be obtained shortly thereafter.

  • 3 or more years of experience in related role or in heavy civil engineering capacity

  • Preferred ASQ certification and Professional Engineer licensure

  • Preferred familiar with ISO 9001concepts

  • Valuable computer skills andproficiencyin Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam Revu, PowerPoint, databases, and document control systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and coordination skills

  • Valuable prior knowledge & experience with TxDOT specifications and standards

  • Mustpossessstrong attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment
