As our new Design Manager Roads/Civil Lead in Perth, you’ll be a vital part of our Transport Land and Water team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable. Your role will include:
Lead and coordinate the design process across a portfolio of large-scale Roads and/or Civil projects, ensuring innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective solutions that meet client, stakeholder, and regulatory requirements
Proactively resolve technical and design challenges to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standard
Bringing diverse groups of people together to deliver seamlessly
Creating a thriving, collaborative and a high-performance culture within project teams
Building strong trust-based relationships with delivery partners and clients
Managing the interface between disciplines through all stages of delivery
Liaising with construction contractors, government agencies, and stakeholders
Concise communication with project governance groups
Input into the pursuit of future opportunities in the market
You’ll have a genuine passion for re-imagining problems and continuous learning to help shape the future.

As well as experience as a Design Manager on major Roads projects, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
Understanding of how the design impacts the construction methodology
Understanding of project and consortium commercial aspects
Ability to create followship with a positive leadership style and a focus on team culture
Strong decision making skills
Drive and persistence
Be passionate about mentoring the next generation of Major Project leaders
