Design Manager PMC (Data Centre) – CSA & MEP

What you will do:
- Manage and synchronize the entire Civil, Structural, Architectural (CSA) and Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) design lifecycle, acting as the key technical bridge between global hyperscale clients, lead design consultants, and site execution teams.
- Lead comprehensive constructability and value engineering reviews, identifying and eliminating complex spatial layout clashes between dense MEP routing (HV switchgears, chillers, UPS) and CSA design parameters before contract procurement.
- Command the local authority submission and permitting roadmap, navigating statutory agencies (including TNB, DOSH/JKKP, IWK, JKR, BOMBA, and municipal councils) to secure Developer Orders (DO), Building Plans (BP), and the final Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC).
- Oversee advanced Building Information Modelling (BIM) workflows, establishing strict clash-detection protocols to drive a "first-time-right," zero-defect site build.
- Facilitate rigorous interface management meetings, balancing local regulatory compliance with stringent international client design standards (e.g., Uptime Institute Tier III/IV).

What you will need:
- Experience Baseline: 8 to 12+ years of professional experience in design management, architectural coordination, or technical master planning, with a proven track record dedicated to large-scale industrial, utility infrastructure, or data center builds.
- Technical Integration Mastery: Strong domain knowledge across both CSA structural parameters and mission-critical MEP infrastructure requirements.
- Regulatory Expertise: Exceptional, current knowledge of the Malaysian Uniform Building By-Laws (UBBL), local utility grid requirements, and authority clearance procedures.
- Software Literacy: High proficiency in modern design coordination and BIM software ecosystems (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks).

- End-to-End Delivery Longevity: A clear history of project stability—showing you stay through full project lifecycles from early concept layout and authority submission to technical site handover, rather than brief contract-hopping.
- Professional Credentials: Active professional accreditations are highly regarded; your CV should ideally showcase active registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM), a PMP certification, or credentials as a Green Building Facilitator (GBIF / LEED AP).
