We’re excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Design Manager to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing contractors. Based in Bridgend, South Wales, this role offers the chance to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and supportive environment with clear career progression and proactive employee engagement.

Responsibilities include;

Collaborate with the Pre-Construction team to lead the design and delivery of major infrastructure projects within the Wales Region.

Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs across Civil, Structural, MEPICA, Health and Safety, Sustainability, Environmental, and Planning teams to develop integrated and innovative solutions.

Drive the technical delivery of infrastructure projects, leading multidisciplinary technical teams to create value-driven solutions that address client challenges across the entire design lifecycle.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders to secure buy-in for proposed solutions, fostering collaboration between internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners to deliver buildable and high-quality technical outcomes.

Essential

Experience of all aspects civil engineering projects from either design or contracting background

A degree or equivalent in a related engineering subject (e.g. civil, electrical, mechanical) and/or equivalent experience.

Clear understanding of the commercial requirements of delivering complex multidisciplinary design and build projects and an appreciation of delivery risk.

A full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

Experience of undertaking feasibility studies, options appraisal and concept design, and/or outline and detailed design for clients and design and build contractors.

Broad knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Process).

Chartered or Incorporated with a relevant institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM or working towards it.
