Our client, an established modular construction business, is seeking a Design Manager to join their team in Meath. This role will support the delivery of multiple modular construction projects across Ireland, working closely with production and site teams. The successful candidate will bring strong coordination skills, technical understanding and experience managing design processes within a construction environment.
Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate the design function across multiple modular construction projects
• Manage and support an internal design team of 6 to 7 staff
• Ensure design outputs align with programme, production and site requirements
• Coordinate with production teams to support efficient modular manufacturing processes
• Liaise with site teams to ensure smooth installation and delivery of design intent
• Manage design changes, technical queries and issue resolution throughout project lifecycle
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints
• Oversee design compliance with building regulations and project specifications
• Drive continuous improvement in design processes and coordination across departments
Requirements
• Degree qualified in Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline
• Proven experience in a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordination role
• Strong understanding of construction processes, ideally within modular or offsite delivery
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
