Job Description

As the Design Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of designers and collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to create an exceptional digital banking experience. Your role involves setting the visual direction, defining design principles, and ensuring a consistent brand identity across all digital touchpoints. You will also mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality design outputs.
  • Collaborate with product managers to understand business requirements and translate them into visually appealing and user-friendly designs.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure the technical feasibility of design concepts and provide design specifications.
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback to iterate and improve the design of the digital banking platform.
  • Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and brand guidelines to ensure a consistent user experience.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in digital design, and incorporate new ideas into the platform.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create engaging visual content for digital campaigns.
  • Ensure the accessibility and inclusivity of the digital banking platform, considering diverse user needs.
  • A bachelor's degree in design, visual communications, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital design and user experience.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring design teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Ability to conduct user research and analyze data to inform design decisions.
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry is preferred but not mandatory.
