Reliability Engineer / Sr. Reliability Engineer

Job Summary:      

Reliability Engineer will drive Reliability Assessment and Demonstration of various products in domains such as medical devices, consumer appliances, industrial and telecom products etc. The candidate could work with Product managers and Engineering Managers within HCLTech as well as client organization. The candidate should handle fast-paced project work and excel at taking on projects independently, leading project teams along with supporting other designers and engineers on projects. We are a highly collaborative group, and our clients are based across the globe, thus communication skills are key. The candidate would front end the discussions with client partners and/or end customers to fully understand the requirements and provide design solutions to the delight of customers.

Key Responsibilities

Education:  

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Data Science
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Reliability Engineering / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Data Science

Experience:

• 3 to 5 Years for Reliability Engineers ; 5 to 9 Years for Sr. Reliability Engineer

Key Responsibilities:   

• Interacting with customers and developing Reliability Requirements
• Developing Reliability and Safety Plans
• Carry out Reliability Predictions, Create Reliability Models
• Functional Block Diagram, P-Diagrams, Interface Diagrams
• Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis & Fault Tree Analysis
• Carrying out the Reliability and Availability Analysis
• Perform Reliability and Availability analysis
• Perform RAMS studies
• Reliability Test Planning & Test Execution Support
• After Market – Reliability Assessment
• Maintainability & Availability Analysis, Spares Prediction
• Hazard Analysis
• Functional Safety / System Safety / Risk Analysis

Software / tools:

• Reliasoft Weibull++, BlockSim, ALTA
• PTC Windchill
• Isograph, Itemtool Kit, CAFTA
• RELEX – Prediction, FMEA and FTA Modules

Skill Requirements

Requirements:     

• High Academics in Engineering and Passion on developing mathematical reasoning and models to assess and improve reliability issues.
• An excellent communicator, Fluent in English (other languages is a plus), ability to tell stories and convey concept ideas skillfully to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Disciplined with time management skills, possess the capability to set priorities and be accountable
• Open to travel both within India as well as to Europe, China, USA, Canada for short as well and medium-term engagements
• Understanding of system, electrical, and mechanical design, as well as software integration.
