About the Role

As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering safe, reliable, and innovative engineering solutions for customer projects. You will work across the full project lifecycle, applying engineering principles to develop designs, perform technical evaluations, and support successful project execution.

This is a collaborative role where you will partner with specialists across multiple functions and gain exposure to both engineering and manufacturing environments. You’ll have the opportunity to solve complex technical challenges while contributing to products that are delivered to customers around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary engineering contact for assigned projects.
  • Develop and verify engineering designs, calculations, and technical documentation.
  • Prepare and review design reports, design premises, material selections, and technical drawings.
  • Work closely with designers to ensure accurate and manufacturable solutions.
  • Support procurement activities, including technical evaluation of suppliers and long lead items.
  • Collaborate with production teams and provide technical support during manufacturing and assembly.
  • Participate in supplier qualification, technical audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of engineering standards, guides, and templates.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and NOV procedures.

Qualifications

Required

  • BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience with structural design, mechanical engineering, product development, or industrial equipment design.
  • Knowledge of strength calculations, materials, and engineering verification methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in project environments and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Preferred

  • Experience within offshore, subsea, oil & gas, marine, energy, aerospace, or other highly engineered industries.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, procurement, or supplier management activities.
