Role Objective

Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designs and analyzes steel structures, preparation of technical drawings and specifications, perform calculations, coordinates with project teams (clients, contractors, suppliers), manage technical documentation, reviews manufacturing drawings, ensures compliance with codes and specifications and supports projects team.

Strategic

• Investigate design failures and identify root causes to implement effective design improvements.

• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies and implementing new designs

Operational

• Developing and designing products and systems based on customer requirements and industry standards
• Collaborating with other areas of the organisation, such as manufacturing and quality control
• Reviewing and providing feedback on the designs received from various sources
• Maintaining specifications, drawings and technical manuals

People

• Collaborating with manufacturing partners and quality control team.
• Collaborating with other departments to discuss the financial viability of designs, risk assessments and ensure designs that are economically viable.

Skills & Know-How

• Knowledge of Industry Codes and Standards (ASME, ANSI, BIS etc.)
• Basic Understanding of mechanical Drawings and CAD drawings
• Having basic knowledge in Engineering Mechanics & Strength of Materials
• Proven experience in mechanical designs for steel industrial projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• In-depth Knowledge of equipment, fabrication process & Installation Techniques
• Understanding of Fluid Mechanics & Thermodynamics
• Drafting Experience on Continuous Furnace would be an added advantage

Education

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Certificate / Diploma courses on 3D design / Auto-CAD/ other Piping design software

Should be able to work in Inventor / Naviswork

Overall 8 -10 years of experience in engineering / manufacturing Industry.

Minimum 5 - 8 years experience in mechanical design / piping design engineering

Work Environment/ Physical Demands

Work from Office.

If required Site visit are required in pan India.
