DISHER is currently seeking a Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll bring advanced mechanical engineering design and product development expertise to customer projects, primarily in the furniture industry, taking products from concept through launch. You'll design, develop, and validate physical products and assemblies, and play a key role in shaping technical direction along the way. What you'll get to do

What will make you succesful

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Furniture industry experience is beneficial, but not required.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial, adaptable mindset.
• Strong problem-solving skills and comfortable operating in ambiguity and shaping undefined requirements.
• Proven experience with CAD software such as Creo and/or Solidworks.
• Advanced-level knowledge of design engineering tools such as FMEA and DVP&R.
• Strong understanding of engineering materials (plastics, metals, composites) and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to travel to local customer sites is essential; occasional domestic travel.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to document work thoroughly and communicate technical concepts effectively.
• Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations.
