Design Engineer – Automatic Fare Collection Engineering (Ref: 260000Z4)
ResponsibilitiesUndertake a wide range of design tasks and technical support for Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) and Security Access Management (SAMS) SystemsCarry out design work for AFC & SAMS systems including design proposal / specifications, cost estimation, hardware and software development as well as review of contractor submissionsPerform software development and deployment works for AFC & SAMS equipment including the preparation of software release notesLead the planning and execution of the testing activities based on business and system requirements which includes development of test plans, preparation of test cases, allocation of manpower resources as well as testing coordinationPerform software quality assurance related activities including process and configuration audits to ensure compliance to the established processes and enforcement of relevant policy / proceduresAct as a subject matter expert of AFC & SAMS equipment to lead technical investigations in relation to incidents and provide technical recommendationsResearch on latest technology to explore opportunity to improve or explore innovative solutions for AFC & SAMS system
RequirementsDegree in Electronic Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or a related disciplineA minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in AFC and SAMS engineering, Information Technology or related fieldSolid experience in AFC & SAMS design, testing, implementation and project managementSound knowledge of Octopus / Smart Ticket and AFC Gates, including their operational, technical, and integration requirements, are preferredRemarksCandidates with less experience will be considered for the Support Engineer - Automatic Fare Collection Engineering position ApplicationsYou are invited to apply online via Careers at MTR or send in your CV stating the position (with reference number) you are applying for by mail to Human Resource Management Department, MTR Corporation, G.P.O.
