HIRING POSITION: DESIGN ENGINEER

WORKING CONDITION: HYBRID

LOCATION: BANGKOK / PATHUMTHANI, THAILAND

Position Summary

The Design Engineer reports to the Design & Engineering Manager for Thailand and is based in Zeer Rangsit, Patumthani.

The Design Engineer is responsible to design, produce, develop and propose structural engineering calculation as per design standards and our client's standard procedures. Incumbent must have extensive knowledge of the market and geographical planning.

Responsibilities

• To provide technical support to Sales team for government and private sector including, Residential & Commercial
• Optimized designs for a reasonable price and accurately meet according to engineering standards with BIM program.
• Assist in design / calculation (BQ) / proposal drawings for Sales and Specification teams for new projects
• To support sales team to achieve the overall budgeted sales volume, margin, and revenue
• Provide technical advice and support on design and detailing drawings of the steel roof truss solutions, structural decking, and innovative building solutions (IBS).
• Coordinate with relevant party such architectural, project manager or project site supervisor to operate in accordance with the designed work and help to find the solution comply with engineering standards
• Provide quantity take-off for all components and related accessories for production (PA) of confirmed truss and innovative building solutions (IBS) orders.
• Support channel partners in all aspect of design-related issues
• Provide technical expertise to Channel Partners in resolving fabrication, installation, or site problems
• Conduct site audit to ensure installation in accordance to construction drawings
• To comply with ISO procedure providing quality work
• A team player as well as able to work with minimum supervision

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or higher in Civil Engineering/ Structural Engineering or related field
• 0-3 years of working experience in Civil & Structural designs in building construction or sales and marketing for steel or in structural steel design/ cold formed steel design
• Good knowledge in civil and structure design
• Good command of design application or program such as CFS, AutoCad, Robot, MIDAS GEN, 3D Design and design with computer software such as ETABS, SAP, SAFE and others related
• Fast learner, able to search for market opportunity and able to manage project
• Good command in English and computer literacy
• Good interpersonal, communication, presentation skill and project management
