As a Design Engineer (DE) in the Textile Platform team you will work with the latest technologies and materials, develop smart innovative engineering solutions together with great people in and outside the Platform team. You will be developing standard solutions for our range of textile products in the contexts of Home Furnishing accessory businesses and support achievement of IKEA material and Rage strategy goals. As the Design Engineer in the team, you are involved in developing and documenting engineering solutions (such as fabric constructions, accessories etc.). You will be joining a great team, always pushing boundaries with finding new ways and methods, simulation tools and strong verification approach. Giving and taking responsibility, leadership and working with people have a large focus in this role.
And of course: it is a lot of fun!
We are looking for you who have at least 3 years of hands-on experience with fabrics and textile products, covering development, production and materials. You have most likely worked in the textile industry, in a business development unit or closely with textile production. You bring knowledge of textile products, together with an understanding of what matters to our customers.
